CAST & CREW: TEAM EMSIAC
PATRICK MAY - WRITER/DIRECTOR
Patrick May graduated from Boston University in 2005, where he earned his
degree in English and penned a much loved and much hated weekly column for *The
Daily Free Press*. Since then, he has worked a short stint at a chain
bookstore, as a filing clerk, as a debt collector, and, for the last year
and a half, as an unemployed debt collector in the other sense of the term.
He is currently busy writing his novel *Eye of Sand*, eliminating his
erroneous zones, and working on the script for *Captain Blood of the Space
Cosmic*, which he can only hope will be universally panned.
ALLEN RILEY - WRITER/DIRECTOR

Allen Riley didn't read the manual and has been butting his head against the art of making movies since 2006. The Grateful Undead was the most painfully exhausting experience of his life. He is currently making short videos in preparation for the production of the next risk-taking EMSIAC feature. Allen spent two summers directing video projects at Beam Camp. He currently lives in Jamaica Plain, MA.
MATTHEW ANDO - PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Responsible for filming much of the film's footage, Matthew Ando also
helped design shots for scenes including the opening scene and parts of the
"jam" in Moonchild's basement. He was able to keep a fairly cool head amidst
the often stormy and ill planned shoots. Inside Bug House he enjoyed a private
bedroom and food proffered by director, Allen Riley. Two years after the
shoot, Matt returned to Bug House to act as an ethereal daemon in summoning
a satisfactory edit of the film. This role involved lots of Matt sleeping in
and loafing around Whole Foods inside a week of eventual success. Matt
currently works as a dishwasher in a faded first class resort in the Poconos
of Pennsylvania. Living at home, he is focused on mounting a strong return
to college with a possible bent in filmmaking.
BRENDAN CROWLEY - PAPPS ELROY

Brendan Thomas Crowley, Quincy, MA's favorite son, graduated from college, or
currently is in college, or something. When not working at homes for the
mentally challenged, he enjoys impersonating Andy Kaufman and working
half-assedly on his own film projects.
ALLISON LAPLATNEY - JESSI VANDERSNATCH

Allison LaPlatney is an artist and writer living in Brooklyn. She trained with
Susan Greenhill, who also taught at Stella Adler and Antioch college.
Her performance collective, Piehole, is currently engaged in
psycho-collaborative-multimedia experimentation, and is accepting
tax-deductible donations.
DAVID RILEY - SYLVANEN LEAFCROONER

KEELEY STALNAKER - LESLIE WEINBERG

Keeley Stalnaker is 22 years old and resides in New York City, though she is
a true Jersey girl at heart. She enjoys chain smoking, writing poetry about
The Twilight Zone and going on road trips. She hopes The Grateful Undead
will launch her career and thrust her into the public spotlight where she
belongs.
ROB EATON - MOONCHILD

Rob Eaton is a well known Grateful Dead archivist and can occasionally be
seen at Dark Star Orchestra shows. This is his screen debut, he hopes to
continue his acting career and is trying out for a speaking role as a
pillaging viking in a Capitol One ad, "What's in yer wallet?"
AMAN SHARMA - YANNI 'YELPIE' YELPINSKI

Aman Sharma is currently a graduate student at Buffalo. He plans on completing his
studies in business and medicine. He hopes to use his knowledge to improve
access to health care. When he is not too busy, he enjoys reading historical
biographies and exploring nature trails. The Grateful Undead was his first
on screen role.
